Pepper brought it upon herself to also move Tony’s back, returning a minute later to see him out on the balcony. With a sip of her water she walked out towards him, taking a look around before leaning against the railing and looking out towards the sea. Wow, it was..* ..beautiful. You really did pick a great place, Mr. Stark. *She mused, resting her hand on his arm before quickly removing it again and clearing her throat* I, uh, your bag. I placed it in your room. Would you like me to put everything in the drawers and closet for you?
Why not? Pepper, it’s not like I don’t have the money. It’s not like I’d miss it. -He shrugged, scratching the back of his head briefly before looking over at her when she joined him on the balcony- Yeah, it’s great- -He broke off and looked down at her hand, frowning slightly as she pulled it away so quickly. Was this how it was going to be now? All awkward and horrible? He shook his head slightly and looked out at the seat again for a moment- You’re not my slave, Miss Potts. -He muttered before walking back inside, his feet feeling almost heavy as he dragged them through to his bedroom. He just collapsed onto his bed, making no move to put anything away. He’d messed up their whole relationship. Over ten years, wasted on a kiss. Now she couldn’t even touch him platonically-
